On July 7, 2025, within the framework of the Innoprom-2025 international industrial exhibition, Rosatom Metal Tech LLC (integrator company of Rosatom’s Fuel Division in the Metallurgy sector) and Isetsky Forging and Mechanical Plant (IKMZ JSC) supported by the government of the Sverdlovsk region signed an agreement on cooperation in the production of high-quality metallurgical products made of titanium alloys and stainless steel.
Rosatom Metal Tech LLC is planned to be involved in supplying Rosatom State Corporation’s production enterprises with billets and deep-processed products made of stainless and heat-resistant steels, as well as titanium alloys. To implement the large-scale production program, the parties are going to use the industrial site of the Isetsky Forging and Mechanical Plant. It is planned to organize the production of pilot batches of products at the Ural enterprise applying the technologies of the IKMZ JSC for processing titanium sponge, ingots into intermediate billets for further manufacturing of high-quality products required by the enterprises of the industry in the sphere of aircraft building, shipbuilding, including nuclear industry.
“The new agreement will be helpful in solving complex production and technological tasks. This will provide Russian industry in general and Rosatom enterprises in particular with high-tech metallurgical products, including new types of metallurgical products. This will create extra opportunities to fulfill large-scale government orders and expand the export potential of domestic manufacturers,” Andrey Andrianov, General Director of Rosatom Metal Tech LLC, said.
“Our cooperation with Rosatom Metal Tech LLC offers new perspectives and will allow us to create brand-new high-quality products meeting international standards of reliability and quality. The experience of our companies complements each other making it possible to find the best solutions at all stages of the production process, i.e., from the development of new technologies to the delivery of final products to the consumers. The use of innovative methods of metal processing allows us to shorten the product manufacturing time and reduce production costs making the products even more attractive to domestic and foreign customers,” Alexey Minochkin, General Director of Isetsky Forging and Mechanical Plant JSC, said.
In its turn, the government of the Sverdlovsk region will assist in raising state support for the project implementation in cooperation with federal and regional authorities, as well as provide advisory and administrative support within the scope of its powers.
“Today, there is a task to provide the country with the necessary industrial and consumer goods, as well as to increase its competitiveness in the world market. The efforts of the federal center and Denis Pasler, the Acting Governor of the Sverdlovsk region, are focused on the accelerated production and technological development. The project to create production of traditional products and develop new types of products made of titanium, stainless steel and heat-resistant alloys at the site of IKMZ JSC will allow the region to expand its export potential and strengthen its position in the metals market,” Dmitry Ionin, Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk region, Minister of Investment and Development of the Sverdlovsk region, said.
